Lyn – Stabæk

I was the only one who attended from the SMEx group, but this was probably the funniest part of my evening. Good match, several interesting goals, but ended up in a draw, 2-2. Funny thing: The match was @ Ullevål, Lyn’s home stadium but Stabæk had more supporters than Lyn and sang “Hjemmebane” (home stadium), ouch!

Wimbledon final

Roger Federer 5 7 7 3 16
Andy Roddick 7 6 6 6 14

This was the main reason everybody were late at Billabong. Federer had a bit of trouble kicking Andy Roddick’s ass, but after an incredible last set, Federer is back up on the top of the world ranking. And man, what a match… 50 aces by Federer!

3D glasses chaos

This was really annoying! First, they charge 20 kroner extra for the tickets. Second, they charge an additional 10 kroner per pair of 3d glasses and we had to stand in a 15 meter long queue to buy them. Luckily, Espen saved us from the madness by cheating the queue. The cashier was pissed, but we won.

Storyline

I thought the movie itself was very disappointing, and it had a lot of logic flaws. Where does the rain and sun come from?

I liked the other two Ice Age movies, but this one was actually even boring from time to time. I read a review before going to the movie, and he said that there were no pauses in the movie and everything was so brilliantly created and melted together. What?!

Normally the most funny part, is the one with Scrat, but this time it was almost hopeless. However, there is a new character, Buck,  that isn’t bad at all, and it’s actually Simon Pegg that does his voice. He’s brilliant!

3D

This really was the part that saved the movie. If you forget for a second that it was kinda blurry sometimes and that you got sick of wearing glasses, there were some really cool effects. I think the coolest scenes were when they were flying on a Pterosaur and Sid was sliding down in the snow with the 3 eggs.

Lucky I stayed to watch the Wimbledon match as it was actually much better than this movie. I mean it was OK but it was a bit slow at times, and it missed having fun jokes that appeal to everyone. This felt more like a kids movie, not that that’s bad, but this movie just didn’t flow the whole time.

The 3D was cool though :)

Two SMEx records this time around
    1) Most chaotic lineup before getting into the theater (because of the glasses)
    2) Most expensive tickets so far, 120 kr. And certainly the most expensive per minute of the movie. It is pretty short.

After the movie I was lets with the feeling that the producers added 3D just to be able to release and sell this move, because other than the 3D effects, this movie does not give much to remember.

Oh, I still have two sets of unsused glasses if anyone need one.
