This was the SMEx Easter Special, and the turnout was well, poor. We had three drop outs because they had already seen the movie and all three had given glowing reviews of the movie, but I’ve been fooled before. This time I’m happy to report I think they undersold the movie, it was just awesome. I think this was one of the best movies I’ve seen in ages.
I’m not going to give away anything but imagine how upset you would get if your daughter got kidnapped and then multiply that by 10. Liam Neeson was like a Terminator, nothing was going to stop him, or could it? You’ll have to go and see to find out!
It has a couple of unexpected twists that made the audience gasp, and Liam Neeson using all of his “particular skills” he had to great effect. Liam did a great job of portraying the upset father, and Maggie Grace (Lost) managed to strip 8 years of her actual age and play a 17 year old.
Great movie you must see!
Too bad for all the Norwegians stuck in the mountians skiing, you missed the best movie so far!
Taken, 9.3 out of 10 based on 13 ratings
I downloaded this some time ago (it’s reaaaally old!) and thought it was fantastic too! Great movie, great action, didn’t pretend to be more than what it was.
hey we knew it was old but you know the speed of some movies coming to Norway
This is a must see movie.
Neeson is outstanding in it. I nice mix of a retired Bond/Bourne, to which I think he added some Jedi tricks too.
I read somewhere else a quote that I liked about this movie:
“Although homicide is wrong, death was never more satisfying to watch.”
Two thumbs up..
