An intense psychological thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio as US Marshal Teddy Daniels investigating the disappearance of a mentally ill woman from a high security mental institution/prison on the godforsaken Shutter Island.

Teddy and his partner arrives on a ferry, which is the only way to get on or off the island, and the weather suddenly goes bad.. As the storm builds up creepy things start to happen. In addition to the events on the island we see flashbacks of his late wife and glimpses of harsh memories from the second world war.

The story is intense, thrilling and with a twist that I did not expect after watching the trailer. Yet another great film by Martin Scorsese, actually his fourth film starring Leonardo DiCaprio (and not the last).
